JR said that Billy did so well because he read the manual on the boat before racing it......

I chatted with Billy afterwards. He said it took him all of three laps to figure out how the boat liked to turn. He had to plant it, then hammer it.

Certainly a good showing.

He also said they should wake up more when they switch to the 500's on the boats next season so they will be more fun.
