This tells the whole story!
Not able to run a poker run when people just come "to watch"

FPC has done tri-state runs. They are a lot of work. Ours was FL, GA, SC - back in 2001. Now we do multiple-stop events to the Bahamas - 4 hotels in 6 nights 7 days. Between gas, hotel rooms, & food/bev the $695 event fee is not the expensive part...!

This is a little different. The "Tri-state" is CT, RI and NY(Long Island). You can hit all 3 states and only run the boat about 30 miles(maybe less). People finish the run in a few hours. The $795 entry fee was pretty crazy IMO.

I agree totally. I can understand $200....MAYBE $300, but $800 is a totally rip, and it shows with the lack of people entering. IMO.
