Was out running around this morning and saw this guy "sign spinning". I don't know how prevalent this is in the rest of the country, but we have guys standing on almost every street corner that are paid to stand there holding a sign advertising a business close by - car washes, tax services, food, title loans... Typical guys that would be homeless, or college kids looking to make some drinking $$ on the weekend.
These guys are supposed to spin the sign, and do some "acrobatic work" manipulating the sign to grab your attention. I've heard that some of the guys that are really good make over $20.00 an hr.
Anyway, saw this guy today, and handed my phone to the wife to shoot a picture - he wasn't spinning the sign. He was just standing there holding this arrow shaped sign like this for the entire time I was at the stoplight.
I was laughing hysterically for the next mile...
