There is a sucker born every minute

I know the feeling. Just found out my girlfriend's brother (whom I have helped a BUNCH) stole the gas card I gave her and has been using it. I don't know whether to have him arrested or just go beat some sense into the little f@cker. I think I may use it to leverage him to go into the Army. Maybe they can make a man out of him.

Please dont. Seriously.

The military isn't a correctional institution, nor is it a place for someone to work out their problems. They're a professional organization that runs on talent. And they have a very critical job to do. What they can do is provide the tools and environment for an individual to discover their particular talents and motivations and put them to good use. What they can't do is fix broken people. Enough slip in as it is.

Personally, I'd lean towards the beating.

Hey- giving rides to Marines and ferrying soldier's gear is tough duty too.

Kidding- Takes a special person to give up their lives in such big chunks to be on a ship that long. Or a sub?

That it does. It takes a special wife to be dragged all over the world with four kids too. My sister was born in Hawaii, which was closer to the US than I was born. I guess why they have been married 57 years.

I still say if someone gets out of HS and has no idea what they want to do, if you join the military, you'll either know what you want to do, or what you don't want to do. Either way, you'll go from a boy to a man.
