I spent a little time there and have a Swiss friend of many years. It seems that they are a nation full of their own well established prejudices with the German/Austrian speakers looking down on the French speakers who in turn are looking down on the Italian speakers who are themselves are viewing the others in the same way.

Add into that mix the very limited amount of immigrants that they do accept and they have finally found something that all the various factions can agree is below them.

We can probably stand to learn a thing or two from countries like Switzerland.

the only people in america that arent allowed to show some pride is White america! we are then seen as racists, eliteists, etc. sorry this vote was about the people having thier say in a matter that they feel is important.

The problem with if you show you are proud of your race in the USA, regardless of what race you are; that is percevied you are against other races.

Just because you are proud of one doesn't mean you have to be anti to the other; unless you are white that is.

The funny thing is that some of the most prejudiced people from all over the world come here and then scream that we should not be prejudiced. Although our border with Mexico is as porous as sponge Bob, the southern border is like Fort Knox, none of those nasty south Americans coming into Mexico! Same goes for Africans, heck, they don't even like African-Americans. But come here and we are supposed to accept anything, actually make exceptions for them and their culture. And as a great nation we should be open and accepting, but not to the detriment of what made this country great. :USA:
