The spoiled under-30 crowd!!!

If you bent a hanger just right, and made little loops to go under the screws on the 300ohm connection on the back of the TV.... might work.

Ok... how about this: The giant vacuum tube testing machine at the hardware store.

Tube testing was my friends father-in-law's business..UTM...U Test 'em

The white igloo was "The Igloo" on Douglas and Monroe.
The "Zips" were yellow I think. There was one near Whitmer.

Baseball cap sundaes.

You could use the brim as an overflow. ;)

Anyone from NJ remember Georges Chili Dogs in Elizabeth? They were my grandfathers last meal. THATS HOW GOOD THEY WERE.

Remember Burger Chef? Always thought they were better than McDonalds. It was a real treat to get a burger there, instead of the greasy home made burger with regular white bread (soggy). Remember Eddie Murphy's bit about the home made burger?

My mother worked for Zip's for a while in the office doing paperwork or something.
Are any of those old igloo buildings still around??

hell yeah I remember burger chef, you got a plain burger and they had a burger topping bar, you could put how much of whatever on it, that place rocked.

There is a movie on Showtime right now called "The Boys of 2nd Street park". Six men reminisce about growing up in 1950's and 60's in Brooklyn, NY. True stories - not really a movie.

anybody else have the cassette player that actually slid into the 8 track player, ?

Yes I did sad to say :D

Or the Cassett that had the wire that came out of it so that you could listen to your CD player that would sit on the seat next to you.

looking in the weeds and ditches for returnable bottles so you could buy candy, I would do that now for cheap beer, not mid west cheap beer, maybe oklahoma dust bowl cheap beer ( tom joad on the road six packs,) no more steinbeck references:seeya:

Yeah. They had a good/better/best version of everything.

Ya know... I know some people with a huge house that's like 100 years old and it was ordered from the Sears catalog and delivered by early trucks.

The house 2 doors down from me is a sears craftsman home:sifone: My home is almost 100yrs old but not a sears house.
