Actually Mark Spates built and designed the Phantoms . Will did build Under Destruction. It is very disturbing watching someone take credit for another mans work.

Steve, that's not really fair. When was the last time you filled a toner carterage?

Mark worked for Will and then went out on his own. Same as Reggie, you think he builds every Fountain himself?

Nothing against Mark, but you make it sound like Will Smith did something wrong by putting a Phantom sticker on the boat.

Mark worked for Will?

They had an agreement Will marketed the boats Mark built and designed. I live around the corner from there and have been in the loop since 1991.


For the record I am on the manufacturing floor most everyday 7 days a week sometimes both shifts.

Will did nothing wrong putting a sticker or his name on the boats that was the agreement at the time. The post said he built them. In reality he marketed them.

ccracing which svl do you have? Steve,Randy said his boat is a 98.They are claiming this boat is a 2000.So Randy's boat must have been the first one?Are all the rest of them newer then?what year is yours?Kostalacs? Do you know who's is the newest?

Randy's boat was hull #1. This yellow boat was #2. Mine I think was 3. I bought mine in 2000 new but it was built in 1998 or 1999. Ryan B would know more he put the graphics on it for Mark and Nick as a bare hull. It sat for sometime as A class diminished I bought it to test and create the SVL class for APBA LLC (A class with spec engines).

The last Extreme 29 raceboat built was Pig Iron/High Noon I believe

I would say for the most part Extreme Powerboats is idled. Mark will build an Extreme 29 race or pleasure boat but only to order. The 39 has been greatly retooled and is now the Statement pleasure boat.

Mark has built a model of a new SVL he would like to tool up but has not started at this time.
