The Original Monopoly Boat?

Not sure what the fascination is but i do know after riding in the Black Thunder version all weekend, its pretty cool to see all the people taking pics of the boat and wanting to speak with the owner. The detail on this boat is amazing.

Thanks again to Monopoly 46 for their hospitality this weekend. Had a blast

That 40' skater was down here a few years (10 ?) back out at Boca Grande, I got a good look at it and BS'ed with the owner.

That 40' skater

That was, and still is, one of my favorite themes:

I always thought it was instantly obvious why someone would use the Monopoly theme, since it directly relates to having the majority of a market share in business, and the boats that have the theme, have been owned my successful people.

Richard Scrushy, that built the 40 Skater, had essentially built a Monopoly with Health South, so he painted the boat that way. "His company" was the largest U.S. owner of rehabilitation hospitals at the time. Obviously, things didn't work out so well for him in the end, but that's the motivation behind the paint.

I agree with Blee. That Skater has been one of my favorite boats since the first time i saw it, Many yrs ago. It is a classic in my view.

Hey guys when i was at Skater , i was involved with the whole build of that boat and to tell you the truth .......Dean - Art of design (TOAD) did an awsome paint job on that boat and when up close the game board , the money, ext , ext, looked like the real thing ..as if you were really looking at the board ,and playing the game itself .
