The Official 2009 Daytona 500 Thread

So The new kid crashes out. Brian Vickers learned not to cut off a faster car. K baby got some karma pay back, Gordon can't run so much camber. Goodyear needs to build a better tire. should one inch cost you a lap on pit road. Maybe some instant replay is in order.

I bet NASCAR will review that one.

sad part is if he was on the line they could haved moved the car (inside the line) prior to working on it without penalty...

I think it was a judgment call. They tire changer looks down and sees the line. In his mind he was good. The jack man pushes the official out of the way. that didn't help. When the official was pointing the tire was off already.

They should, but those officials have to make disitions on the spot. There is no room for instant replay in NASCAR. He made the call. It's part of the sport.

I'm not so sure. NFL officials have to make quick decisions also, just like NASCAR officials. I've seen bad calls by NASCAR that have taken the penalized driver out of any chance of winning.

Exactly. I think the crew guy that ignored the official tryin to tell him to move it, needs smacked upside the head. Crew chief and Jr could see it from where they were :ack2:
