Trying to go south out of Vegas can be a major pain. Back-ups at the Hoover Dam can take hours on a holiday weekend. This will cut lots of time off the trip south to Arizona, and it will also reduce the security risk at the Dam.

The bridge is truly a spectacular site, and the view of the Dam from the bridge will be amazing. You can see it in a much earlier phase in the background of this photo from Lake Mead last summer.

Heard yesterday they are predicting the lake levels will rise over the next two years ...
