It's driving me nuts, Biden and his crew keeps touting that the Dow is up to almost 40,000, and when he took office it was at 31,000.

That's a 29% increase. What they don't say is that in that same amount of time, inflation has increased 20%. So the difference after factoring inflation, 9% over 3 1/2 years. The market averages that every year, not over 3.
