The morning after, now what?

I think I can speak for Bobcat and myself... This isn't going to affect beer prices, is it?

Its good for gold. And when your business is gold mining. I kind of do, but the price of gold could be $400 and we'd still make money. So rather have a good economy.

You are starting to remind me of the "gun guys" who sit around predicting when somebody will break into their house so that they can shoot them.
Wishing, hoping... one day soon...They don't represent normal firearms owners and shooters.

I think that a person's image could be eroded pretty fast if they combine the perception that they have more money than God with an all out DREAM of economic collapse.
Just throwing that out there.

I took a class a few years ago called "financial analysis for nonprofit leaders." It was taught by an economist and analyst who was part of the team at Ford Motor Company who created the cash reserve that helped them through thelast recession. He had us do a timeline that showed recessions, depressions and recoveries over many years. At that time, he predicted the recover for last year and the next recession for June of 2014. I have held out hope that he was wrong, and I take no pleasure in that "prediction."
I've been trying to do small things to help in case that happens. Unfortunately, I have a house that I should have dumped a year ago. (Since I didn't dump it in 2004)

Those of us without gold mines are not insulated from the ramifications.

National News last night...
economy has taken big hit and won't recover for months due to polar vortex and weather.
WTF???
Pretty lame excuse in my eyes.

The problem with pumping money into the system is the banks have to put it somewhere and the USA isn't a good place. So the money starts to flow into India, etc. at 10%. So to get the money back the feds have to raise interest rates. Now the banks pull out of those country's but dropping their currency. We have a global currency collapse and rising cost of goods. USA needs to cheap money to keep the economy flowing the rise in interest rates kills it. Basically the USA is in a catch 22 situation and they blew most of their ammo on 07/8. Did the same thing during the great depression. Family got into gold at the start of the dot com bubble. Buying property at 20cents on the dollar.

This was a comment from an article talking about Owebamacare is going cost the US another 1.5 million jobs between 2016 & 2021.

"You’re 29 years old. You voted for Obama 5 years ago because it
made you feel good: historic presidency, “hope & change”, “healing the planet” and all that jazz.

Your dad warned you that Obama was a socialist who would destroy jobs and your future. You didn't believe him. When has your dad ever been right? The media told us it was time to set aside racial differences with this election and put the first Black
man into the most powerful office in the world. He was only a “community organizer”, but he was a freshman senator, so that's something for a resume.

Now, it’s 5 years later. You've got your masters’ degree. You couldn't find a job with a BA so you figured you might as well
continue with your education while waiting for the job market to improve. You've worked hard. Graduated with honors and naturally figured the job offers would be flowing in by now. The unemployment numbers say everything is fine. Why can't you find a job? So you get a job as a waitress. It doesn't pay enough to pay your $150k in student loans, so you get a second job at Stop & Shop. You're making 30k. You’re working 58 hours a week - - 29 hours in each job so they don't have to give you benefits.

You’re in love and want to make a life with the man of your dreams. Get married, purchase a home, the whole thing. But you can't afford it. Now you're asked to pay $4,000 dollars for a healthcare plan when you are healthy, single, no kids, and you only go to the doctor’s office once a year for a total cost of $200 for the visit which you will also have to pay for because you have a $4,000 deductible before your healthcare is covered at 80%.

Or, do you pay the $200 for the doctor’s visit and $95 to the IRS as a fine for not having insurance, and save yourself $3,700 which you can use to maybe fund a wedding to a guy that is in the same debt-ridden situation as you are? You may never be able to afford kids yourself but you’re able to sleep at night knowing that all the illegal aliens and all the 15-year-old mothers with 3 kids are now able to get all the doctor’s visits they need for free.

Maybe the next time you go into the voting booth you'll listen to dad."

I actually found someone who thought he was doing an excellent job. Of course they were a retired GM employee.

I figured it was a union member or another form of communist.

The jackass probably thinks Barry is Robin Hood.

I know bondholders who built businesses, were owed millions by GM, and got mugged by Barry Robbincommie.
