The Book Thread

I just downloaded it from Audible.com. I have a hard time staying focused when reading books, so I'll try the electronic version instead.

"The Understanding of the Outboard Motor" by Eugene Stanger

I found this in the trash....it must be good!

Last book I read was "I hope they serve beer in hell" OMG

One of my buddies knows Tucker really well. Says he's a sociopath. As I recall they tried to make a movie of Beer in Hell and Tucker went nuts during the filming... It all went in the sh1t can.

Speaking of sociopaths, Happy Hour is for Ametuers is another entertaining read...

"Tropical Surge" A History of Ambition and Disaster on the Florida Shore 2005 by Benjamin Reilly

Just started it, pretty cool so far.

Had a long flight from Balt to San Diego. Picked up "Decision Points" by George W Bush. Excellent read. From his early days as a businessman, oil investor, unsuccessful attempts to run for congress, days as Governor, and of course his Presidency.

I am a conservative, but I think even a liberal would find his thought process interesting.

I'll look into it....

What did you think of the dog book?

Still working on Cannonball here. Great read so far, but haven't had a lot of time lately...

"Windward Passage" by Jim Nisbet. Really good, kind of a cross between Kurt Vonnegut & William F. Buckley......better have a dictionary on hand. 4 Beers

"MoneyBall" Michael Lewis.....about Major League BaseBall.....soon to be a Major Motion Picture.

Tig Welding for Dummies and the Mikuni Carb Tunning Handbook have been on my nightstand all winter. Its time for something new, I'm waiting on the new Charlie Sheen autobiography.

Damn good read, told both sides of the story and gives you an eye opening how the state interacts with the Feds, (poorly)

4 Beers
