WOW! is all I have to say. Is that normal or should they last the whole way down?

65 hrs is a normal run on that type of bit in that formation. We are on bit number 8 now. Our directional drilling cost as of today is 300K. Rig charges 20K a day. And the list goes on. This well will cost approx 1.5 mil to drill with a 6 year payout if we have no problems and do hit gas. If we don't hit gas they just right it off as a loss and go to the next one.

gonna put a blower motor in it and use it as my texoma boat this year. im running a little behind on the apaches dash... prolly wont be done before summer.

How can a dash take a season away? I want to see the race boat rafted up at the islands.

^^^ That was for you and Endeaver!!

90K mistake today

The electric traction motor that runs the pump has blowers on it to keep it cool. The blowers turn on everytime the pump is turned on except when the switch is placed in the manuel mode instead of the automatic mode. Well guess what? Someone put the switch in manuel mode by mistake and the pumps electric traction motor was running without the blowers causing the traction motor to burn up. Also don't get your finger between the bull wheel and the belts. A 90K mistake and a pinched finger.
