We were looking straight down the barrel between turns one and two, she got about ten feet out of the water, bounced up to ten feet again and stuffed......she was underwater for a good 4 seconds.....it was 4 minutes before any rescue team got there. We have great photo's of the whole sequence, but we are awaiting news of the safety of the team before posting. I went and looked at the boat in the pits......and the canopy was shattered.

Here is the sequence, on order, of the Warpaint stuff. I waited until I was sure of the condition of the both crewmen before posting.

We shot this from the outside of turn 2 looking down the straight on the boat Chartered by Shoot2Thrill and SeriousOffshore.

I hope you enjoy. My camera and lens are not nearly as good as some of the other, "real", photographers.......

Fantastic pic's , I was sitting up in the flybridge (hanging on for all I was worth) And I thought there was no way someone wasn't seriously hurt in that stuff.

I had to add this picture when I found it. Pete was trying to bet me that Warpaint was still sitting out in the water, waiting for the race to be over. He said there was no way they would tow a half sunk boat across a live race course. I told him it was gone.....

Sure is a good thing that I'm a nice guy and didn't want to just walk away with all his money.....

Tammy would have had to go without dinner that night......:sifone:
