Sushi Freaks?

Shumi of Somerville NJ

Yup! 3-4x per month at a zagat rated hole in the wall in Somerville NJ called Shumi. Ike has been carving it up for 30 years and it is simply amazing.

I sit down and my usual ginger ale shows up followed by a delicious plate of sashimi followed up with a soft shell crab roll followed up by another plate of sashimi. I would go more often, but it adds up averaging $125 for just me:blush5:

When the little sweet shrimps are in season and the bonito...keep your fingers in the clear.

Happy to treat any Jersey SO sushi lovers for first time at Shumi. I have friends in NY who come out for it:drool5:

Next time you're in NY...it's on me.... Best you'll ever have...anywhere.

For me it's every Friday night same seat at the same Sushi Bar.

In 9 years of knowing who each other is, I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time we've agreed on anything. We're bonding quiet well these days Rich - haha. Big Trucks , Fast Boats and Sushi. I finally found out who my group is!:drool5:

When I stayed at Fever Mikes mansion for a few days we ate every meal at his favorite sushi bar! :biggrinjester:

I was a sushi virgin until I went there.... A client wanted to go and when he found out I was a Sushi Virgin he ordered all Sashimi.....

Thank god for saki! :ack2:

I guess I prefer the traditional seafood....

BIG time! I'll seek out excellent grade seared tuna and tuna sashimi; usually in every city I travel to.

Just had a late lunch. Tried a new place a friend recommended TOMO. :drool5:

Man it was good, UUmmmmmmmmmm. It is nice to try new things and be pleasantly surprised.

Just picked up a couple of Spider Rolls, and a combo Tuna plate to go with the 2 tenderloins, and the 2 Lobster tails in the fridge.
Kids are at the Grandparents, my wife is on the way home, and I believe it's time for a beer ....
