Hey Pete,

How did you meter/ expose for the Shuttle Launch?

Whomever is going to Key West, there will be an STS Launch during the week, everyone is at Worlds, assuming the weather cooperates. If I make it to KW, I'm going to plan on heading up to the Cape, to watch/ shoot the Launch. As the Launch is scheduled to take place, in between race days. :)

Thanks for the pic Pete.

I only saw the Shuttle launch live once when I lived in Singer Island... 1986...

A sad day to say the least... :(

NASA pics always amaze me though...

No, just set the ISO up a few notches. I you are going to go in November, you may want to get passes to go inside the kennedy space center, for the shot.

any word yet on what is replacing the shuttle??????

The Ares 1-X is the replacement for the Shuttle. Change-over ceremony of Pad 39-B took place, on 31 May, after Endeavour was moved to 39-A. One of my HS Classmates, is a Systems' Engineer at NASA, and is working on the Ares Project. :sifone:

Hey Pete,

I noticed a bit of Chroma Noise :) I thought you might have ratched up the ISO, but thought I would ask. Regarding KSC. If I do I indeed go, I need to let me friend/ former HS classmate know. She can request passes for me & whoever is with me, to hang out with her, about 3 miles from the Launch Pad. Much closer, than the Causeway, that is usually the limit for civilians :26::26:

Take care Pete. Send us some great pictures from overseas. Boats are preferred, but trying to figure out what the heck you're eating is okay too.....

Rooting for you to make it back for the worlds though.

Be safe Pete !

By the way, Brett @ Performance Boats called me after the race the other day. I told him that you have incredible shots of the Jersey Speed Skiff crash. He will probably be calling you if he hasn't already.

Take care overseas.

Wish you a quick safe return.
