Hey Boatme, did any of the docks next to the Holiday Inn survive the ice? I own a slip in Village cove and the docks outside on the river were fairly new but unsold. Thats got to hurt!!!!!

Yea I went out with him the last week in dec or first week in January a few years ago There are pics of that trip on OSO we wore helmets and snow suits brr was it cold

Most of them seem ok with small damage but a few took the full force and were decimated

30 years ago my parents and sisters moved to South Carolina
Later a brother followed down to SC
Then a brother went to work at NASA in Florida

One of my sisters moved to Atlanta and I am the lone one in my family in Michigan so yea a lot of things are telling me to go south

I was sitting in the hot tub two nights ago, snow coming down, looking at the lake thinking how cool this was

Then I got out of the tub, froze my tail off going into the house, and remembered how much I hate winter in Michigan

Michigan; Gods country in the summer, Gods revenge in the winter

The docks at the new Marina Bay were ruined, maybe two or three left that are able to be fixed.
