And the shortening of the Sunday final in Key West from 20 laps to 13 laps may well have given the championship to Performance over WHM. WHM was making up more than 3 seconds per lap after their turn issues that allowed Performance to make the pass for the lead. And they only finished 3 seconds behind at the shortened finish.
The Key West Worlds are getting shorter and shorter. 140 miles now total combined between all 3 days of racing for Super Cat. The Boyne poker run is longer. Total distance is about 1/3 what it used to be in the 80's.
Anyway. If the final day is going to be double points, and usually be the difference between winners and losers. The final day should also be double the distance.
