Statement Marine's New Cat

Hey Steve, can anyone say areo/hydro dynamics. Juat from the pictures , its gotta be different. With the air being channeled in thru the front with the aid of the sponson design then narrowed down coming out the rear it should fly. All you need now are wings.. LOL.. but yes I think from my past knowledge from watching my ex- father-inlaw and learning about hydrodynamics, it could very well a very fast cat. Good Luck with her.. Sunchaser

A bunch of things first that crazy entry it could have been faired in so that tuna fish with its chin kicked in look would be avoided(when you draw and Loft a lot of boats you learn how to NOT do this)
And second that would Maybe work if we were pushing it through say sand or Play dough instead of Air.

Now Third I have done a lot of work with ducting air in my tunnels in an effort to provide Balance and lift where it was needed! Like in the back of the Cat and it requires a lot of understanding and information gleaned from successful boats done before.

What's the benefit of the design of the sponson?

Good question and without testing, no one can say for sure....

But......

If you put a searchlight behind the tunnel and point the boat at the sky.....

I believe you will create the "Bat Signal".......... :p
