Just to be fair, here's Rick and Gary too....

I had a schedule to keep and left just a little ways into the final Extreme class race. How the heck did Broadco come back and win? What's up with Miss Geico? Those 1650's still have bugs to work out?

Well, it was an odd one....

Broadco came out and almost immediately turned and went back into the pits because one engine would not fire...



They kind of stalled the start, but they had the start without them

Geico took the early lead with CatCanDo on their tail...

388 was in there at the start, but broke on the first lap, Gone!

Broadco came back out of the pits, off they went a lap down....

So Geico has the lead and although Cat Can Do is hanging behind fairly close, and making strong corners, Geico appears to have the power with their 1650's.....

But, the gremlins that have seemed to plague Geico every since they left the turbine class reappeared. They slowed, CatCan Do got the pass....



SO CatCAnDo is walking away with it. Broadco also gets the pass on Geico and now is on the same lap.



CatCanDo is in front of us and a bang! They slow, but they are 3/4's of a lap in front of Geico, so appear to still have. Every lap though you can hear the spitting of one engine getting worse....

Geico is closing, but there's only about three laps to go and doesn't appear to be enough time left. Then up on the other end, CatCanDo comes off plane to an idle. Oops!!!

Geico gets the pass back at reduced speed, back in the lead...

But, Broadco has been motoring all along. Here they come and not only get the two passes on CatCanDo while they're down and idling around, they get the second pass on Geico!



And the winner is...

And that's pretty close to how it happened, (according to Ratickle Tales)

Thanks for the play by play. I only saw the first couple of laps and it sure looked like Geico would win.

There was some good competition in several of the classes. I kept wondering how SVL was going to end up, then they both broke within the same lap. Class 6 is always interesting.

They were running really strong for being down 1200HP to Geico....



Scared the heck out of that bird!!

I guess one of the boats in class 6 tied the record with 52 breakouts in a single race......


Just one shy of a new record, bet they're disappointed....

I think they only counted 52. The printer ran out of paper. It was Akula.
