I know im probably going to get crap for this and no offense to Sunsation but they use about a million visable screws and bolts to hold everything together.
Dash screws are fine on metal or plastic but not on wood. That whole dash looks like a formica salesman got ahold of them and went wild with the sample squares.
Sunsation shoots for a very modern dash with lots of custom CNC pieces/designs. Look at their screws they are allen wrench flat end screws for a tight/perfect fit. Lots of work/thought goes into their designs. The XRT dash looks like it comes out of a fighter jet. It is a bit busy for my taste but others love it.

Nice big/clear pics Tim! The hex head bolts are part of their "theme" with that XRT dash. The tip of the bolt is flat so it fits tight to whatever it is screwed into. That XRT dash is not my taste but very detailed. Many of their parts are CNC'd in house.

They all do... including OuterLimits..look at their new dash's..they look awesome but still have some type of fastner...look at my NorTech dash..looked great..it's all in how you you execute the finish product..and I agree.. LENNY....NO MORE WOOD..:USA:
I knew what you were getting at...only cause I'm so frickin smart..LOL..Thats the only way to fasten any thing vs using some type of adhesive or bonding material which would not be the way to go..especially if it had to be changed out later in time. What Lenny could have done if he wasn't looking for an accent was a more color friendly screw that matched better to the wood tones to hide the screws...Personally the wood to me looks terrible.. carbon fiber or Kevlar ..or even the new machined looks way better for powerboats..Just my 2 cents..
