Me and the wife are planning on heading to fla. next month. What is the boating like in Port Charlotte area like in February? What are your thoughts on finding a marina and staying on the boat? We have a friend that lives in Pun ta Gorda about 10 min from launch ramp and can use his place to re-winterize. I seen a marina next to fisherman wharf or does anyone have space that lives around there that might want to rent a spot? How much damage would the salt water due to the boat if we left it in the water for two weeks?
