Sneak Peek of the new 2009 PANTERA 28 SR

Boat looks great, but I would consider putting a red LED on the port side. If someone ever kept that green light on at night it could be very confusing.

maybe guys should read the thread first. JO and Pepe thought of that already and it has been addressed in the design. End of story.

That thing is awesome and looks great. I cant wait to hear the performance numbers.

I assume this is the first one? It's a great boat and the (led?) lights on the side really set da boat apart from others!

#1 Stunna!!!!!

Jo,

It was a long time ago when I went to Epcot. I do remember seeing a futuristic car that appeared it had no tail lights, but in fact they had a transparent paint that allowed the red to shine through when lit. The car itself was silver. Just a thought, maybe it is something that you may be able to do in the bow area with something like a blended in porthole. You would not actually see the glass if the paint was over it. Then again a clear gelcoat in an area that does not need balsa. Paint over the clear gelcoat and have it illuminated from inside! ;)

I know it was covered in earlier posts, the lights are on a switch so that the side lights go off when the running lights go on.

People also have to keep in mind that these lights are facing to the rear towards the transom. You would not want to give a boat behind you the wrong impression no matter what color they may be.

When running at night only proper navigation lights should be used.

Pantera seems to have covered that within their wiring system...

Thanks on all the compliments. I will answer all your questions in the morning on the new 28 SR.

Going to test early in the morning out in the Ocean and then the boat will be header North with our PA. dealer Ducky's Boats.
I will post cockpit pics. and video tomorrow.

I can't wait!!!:drool5:

Had it up to 78 MPH today at only 4950 RPM spinning a 27 pitch P5 hydromotive. To much transom lift with this P5 prop.Going to have made a P5X 26 pitch rounded ear fully labbed to get RPM up to 5200-5300 RPM.

Boat handled perfect with our new T.S. bottom and picked up a little over 10 % so far.

Had a proffeesional photographer take pics. today with a model I will post pictures on Friday.

Here are a few I took of the cockpit, motor, and race hatch with NACA duct ventelation. Boat is on the way to Ducky's Boats our dealer in PA. now.
