Offshore Super Series Cat Lite Race won by Lucas Oil!!
April, 2009: Newly renamed Lucas Oil Racing team of George and Michael Stancombe, Peppers Racing, started where they left off last year. It was the first time in Biloxi's "Smokin' the Sound's" history a team has won 3 years in a row. This was the first race of the season for the Offshore Super Series Offshore Powerboat Association. www.offshoresuperseries.com
George and Michael started the first heat, with a little washdown heading into the first and second turns. Then driven not to be second, George made a move going into turn 5 to take the lead. Lucas Oil finished heat 1 in first place.
Heat 2: Lucas Oil now had the pole position and they were going for the checkered. Again challenged by Propstop.net, Lucas Oil's 368 Skater took the lead and never looked back. Mike Stancombe said "This was a win we needed to again position ourselves for the National Championships this Fall in Lake Of the Ozarks".
Next race, Lake Cumberland, Ky, May 15th- 18th.
