Skater 28 Catamaran Hot Again

Makes sense. The used market for good 28's has been tight for a while. Took us a lot of looking to find a nice one. And pry it out of Double Rigged's hands! That was about a year ago and we couldnt be happier.

I'm really curious to see what the two with 400R's are going to do. Pete's moving the tanks etc farther forward to offset the weight of the 400's versus the 2.5's they have all run so well with.

How's yours run with the 300's? And where do you run it at up there? I'm originally from Portland OR/Vancouver WA. Used to love to take my boats up to the San Juan's......

So far been running the boat at Pitt Lake, Lake Chelan, and Sidney Poker Run. The Sidney run is just north of the San Juans. The previous owner set the boat up for rough water so it's not the fastest 28 by any means, but the balance is perfect when it gets rough, and it flies level. Have seen 110, but I don't really go chasing the big numbers. May check out the 34's and other lowers this year though. But fun the way it is.

I've run across to Sidney, down to Victoria, across to Port Angeles, and a lot of the Canadian San Juans.

Love it up there.

This is with 6 of us in the boat, including Peter, on the way to the show from the marina. That was when Peter said he forgot how much fun the 28's were. We were passing some quad engine NorTech that thought they were bad ass when they passed us in the no wake zone leaving the marina.

I waved as we went by.......

When I got back from the boat show, Peter had the 28 mold in the shop getting ready to lay one up for the first time since 2009.

Love that blue!
I was just speaking with a new 28 owner. Taking delivery soon. Turns out he had a couple of NIB 300x motors so needed a hull!
