Alright guys lets keep it plain and simple. Chris stated inexpensively and what might that be $$$$$ . I have to say that there are other sites out there that have as much play and the same members who let you advertise your wares for free .

No, I agree on that.
But this site is still in it's infancy, and as it grows (and it will) we may have some people coming in looking to take advantage, and trying to hold the site liable for some reason.
Just want to make sure the site is protected.

Sounds like a good idea and would be useful.

Or....just have a section in the classifieds where you only post links to your Ebay auctions (for boat related stuff only). Then we get links to SOS sellers stuff and the seller still gets the big audience/exposure of Ebay.

I like the idea. I think as long as it could be moderated correctly, it could be very useful to both buyers not sure what their stuff is worth and sellers looking for a god deal.

I'd feel more comfortable buying something via auction on here vs. Ebay to be honest... It might be worth a shot and see where it goes.

plus I'd pay Stecz $5 to box up and ship stuff for me.....

One of the things that I dont like about E-bay is the last min bidding and then missing a item ,,,,,, maybe ,,,, the item could be listed for a set time about 15 day's ( give everyone a chance to see it ) then when a 24 hour period go's buy without a raised bid the item is declared sold . just some outside thought's ,,

Nort AKA PhantomCaos had a site that was called Offshorebid. Never really took off that well. Maybe you can talk to him about setting it up. The site worked well just never got the exposure?
