Should I be looking at playboy?

I just saw this thread and made a call to someone who has a very close in with Marina Mile. I'm very familiar with this boat, did a trade in inspection on it at Passport and rode it back in late 07. I was just told the boat would go for 79K. If I remember correctly the boat had a general service amd impellers right after trade in. There were some minor issues with it like a few of the gauges not working and I believe the gps was not working. After that it ended up being the salesmens weekeend warrior boat till the demise of passport so no telling how it was beat on then. Overall the boat is in good shape for the price.

I agree, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush and when it is all said and done this broker might very well have sent our boy a walkin (with money in his hand) while those talking up the price don't have it. Certainely can't finance things like a few years ago and the broker might be learning a lesson the hard way.

I bought some stuff from a guy today and showed up and said I will write you a check for the agreed on price or I happen to have a little less in cash but it is cash after all. He went for the cash option.

Yes I believe I should have never talked on these boards about this boat, but I did not post the thread, just wanted the boat. I believe the boat will still be there in a month, had the money, deal was done. Not mad, just thought it was a great boat at a great price!! I agree that most of the buyer are talking up the deal and are not ready to purchase!! I have the cash, and ready to move:sifone: but it has not worked out, lots of great boats out there right now, will just sit back and wait.

The boat was owned by a member of OSO, there is no GPS, and not sure of current cond? As far as I know it was just put up for sale?

Call them back in a month with an offer $5,000 less than the original deal and tell them it will drop another 5k in a month. The market is soft and they will see it.
