Serious Security Forces...

Trim'd Up

Just reading about all of these highjackings off the cost of Somalia got me to thinking. Why don't we start a new venture offering protection for pay. Hell, the economy is in the chitter anyway, and we have already have the boats and the guns. I bet somebody here has the hookup on some good radar systems. Blackwater is making a killing on this and a good portion of this crew would be willing to pop some somali pirates just for sport.
Who is in?:sifone::sifone:

It's time to start the SSF!

I could swear there was a thread on here within the last few months where that was offered up as a vacation idea. :D

I've been thinking a couple carbon fiber cats with diesel outboards would be the sh!t. Armed appropriately of course.

Did I hear right that one of the reasons these ships are easy pickings is because they're not allowed to carry weapons in that area?

Funny thing is, I just had this very same discussion with a few pals a while back.

Yeah- there was a thread. Sthe Somakli Coast Sportsman's Cruise. Ther girls can sit on the deck sipping frozen drinks while the guys zap a$$holes with a nice selection of ordnance.

I actually have a friend that does ship-board security on a private vessel. He's got some "stories".

If true, it's just another example where restrictive gun laws actually increase crime! :mad:

If gun are outlawed, then only outlaws will have guns!

We need to practice before we go. Bobcat, you are going to be the pirate. I guess we need to poke out your eye and cut off a leg first so you fit the traditional pirate stereotype. I have an old broom handle for a wooden leg, you have to get your own eyepatch though. ;)

I have an ex military friend that just applied for a job where a team of guys stay on a ship in those waters for a 3 month stretch and get 20 grand a month and are loaded with arms to protect from these *******s

I have a buddy that does the same thing. He actually works for blackwater. Talking to him the other night is what made me start this thread. He doesen't like the ship protection thing though, claims it is boring as hell and is going back to the Middle east after this cruise.

I'll be bored for 20K a month...
