Hey guys and girls , look i think it is time we do something for someone else,we all live a pretty good life ,no matter how times are. I want the SERIOUS OFFSHORE FAMILY,,,, ALL RACING ORG,S,,,, POKER CLUBS AND EVERY ONE ELSE THAT OWNS A BOAT...we all have a closet full of cloths we don,t were ,,better yet old team shirts ,, old racing cloths ect,,stuff that you wouldn,t wear ,,,to them is GOLD ,,please take a second and gather up all you can and send it to me. and i,ll pay and make sure it gets their. We can do this, it really isn,t a lot ,,Any donations you can i,ll make sure it gets to the right people...Were talking a whole country fell over....no matter what you feel about the people...do what your heart tells you... I think this is a grand gesture and not to be the bad guy in this, but I prefer to help my own country folk out. As much as I feel for the people of Haiti, they will be getting aid from all over the world (which they should, not say this in that light). That vs the little kid living on the street in the US doesn't qualify for squat because there wasn't a disaster of this magnitude; they just happen to born to a drug addict (or whatever).

Please don't take this as I disagree with your very generous actions by any means at all what so ever; just kind of churning discussion about helping in house vs some place else.

ps- I'm not just blowing smoke- I did this myself as recently (thread here) as this morning was loading clothes to take to a shelter on my way home.

George, good gesture. however...keep in mind, clothes and supplies may not get to the needy in time. Further, there are plenty established charities that can receive payments immediately, via paypal or credit card. With that said, the quickest way to help, (if you choose to) is to donate cash directly to those charities.

mike my address is on the first post thank you...Mark i agree with you whole heartly. we feed 3 or 4 familys during thanksgiving ,,, .but to me this is an unuseuall time ..and i feel i need to do something for the next 2 or 3 weeks... but thanks for the thought, have a great day..
