1976 team scarab 9 meter 'pure insanity' p-38.

Jeff Brown's 'Pure Insanity' P-38 was the first Scarab to win The US National Offshore Championship (1979). Don Noble of Mission Viejo, CA later raced her with great success in the 80's as P-38, converted from 280's to KAAMA drives and was among other things 1984 MBRA World Record Holder Pro IIIA. She still has the KAAMA drives. Here's a couple of photos.

Regards, Lars.

The Godfather checking in. Don't know how to post a photo, maybe Sharkey or Jeff from Freeze Frame will put one up. Love The Flying Condo Scarab

1975 Larry Smith Team Scarab 9 Meter, owned by my pal Steve Scahill for over 30 years. Honest 80 mph plus with two 425 hp SBC and TRS drives. Boat has been 98% in fresh-water and locks like new! All original gel, deck and hull. :drool5:
