Mike, I've never been there so I don't really know other than what's on the web site. Here's a map that may be helpful for him.

Info is rare these days. I am told racing starts Friday. Best place to watch (Beer Garden) Turn 3 by the cranes. It is in Mission Bay across the street from the Paradise Resort.

Look for In-The-Red trailer (semi) and start from there.

I am going tomorrow so I will get more info.

I will be there watching the circle and drag boats.

Circle boats are at East Vacation Island (ski beach), drags are at Crowne Point. It is about a 10-15 minute walk between them and they do run shuttles.

I would guess the offshore and larger boats would run the unlimited course even though the unlimiteds are not gonna be there this year. That course is best viewed from Fiesta Island. You can't see much of the other venues (close) from there though.

Thanks guys. That's helpful. I talked to Becky at Thunderboats yesterday and she said they really didn't have a schedule yet. I figure I'll head down and wander around aimlessly following engine noise all day... :D

Here is a site for some of the videos from this weekend.

Lots of fun this weekend.

Congrats to all the Weismann Marine boats, Renegade,In the Red, Team AVR, Team Who's, and platinum.

I think the drag boat guys sent a new record of 265 this weekend in top fuel hydro too.

It was a really cool event. A bit disorganized, but you got to see pretty much everything you might want to see in boat racing. Offshore boats (albiet lake racing), flattys, crackers, tunnels, hydros and drag boats.

I took my kids and wife, so was a bit "mobility challenged" but still had a good time and got to have a look at a lot of the stuff.
