I cannot believe that people still listen to this blowhard!

Rush 'meant' what he said about Haiti

Critics have characterized Limbaugh’s comments as insensitive and tone-deaf at a time when heartbreaking images of the devastation dominate news coverage.

Confronted with some of that criticism, Limbaugh slammed a caller as “close-minded.”

“What I’m illustrating here is that you’re a blockhead,” Limbaugh shot back. “What I’m illustrating here is that you’re a close-minded bigot who is ill-informed.”

“If you had listened to this program for a modicum of time, you would know it,” he said. “But instead, you’re a blockhead. Your mind is totally closed. You have tampons in your ears. Nothing is getting through other than the biased crap that you read.”

There is a difference between being a Conservative and an a$$hole! :(

I agree, Obama did what he had too. I don't think many are criticizing him on Haiti; most don't need to, he has plenty of other things to be critical of.

If you don't think there are people working in the White House under EVERY presidential administration looking at and weighing the political upsides and liabilities associated with every world event, you're delusional. Obama is no different.

What Haiti is experiencing right now really isn't much different than what's gone on around the world for many years. We sat by and watched the Khmer Rouge eliminate 2 million people. We've watched as sub-Saharan Africa has suffered untold deaths and suffering. I could go on.

We as a country, guided by a presidential administration, make many choices. We could make choices right now not only to help the people in this disaster, but wee could make choices that could prevent some man-made disasters from continuing to occur in many places around the world. And many times we make those choices- not to.

The difference is Haiti has a few high profile celebrities (Wyclef and others) that will protest without US help and Haiti is very close to US shores (S. FL) so if we don't help they will end up trying to get here by themselves....

If this happened in summer (calmer seas) the groups making the crossing would be unstoppable (I know a 50 cal. gun can sink all of them but that is not politically correct/ethical).

Don't forget that Wyclef (whoever he is) and others need the USA to earn a living. If they're smart, they won't push the protesting too far!! ;)
