Rules for Presidential Name-Calling.

Under section 370 of the House Rules and Manual it has been held that a Member could:

• refer to the government as “something hated, something oppressive.”
• refer to the President as “using legislative or judicial pork.”
• refer to a Presidential message as a “disgrace to the country.”
• refer to unnamed officials as “our half-baked nitwits handling foreign affairs.”

Likewise, it has been held that a member could not:
• call the President a “liar.”
• call the President a “hypocrite.”
• describe the President’s veto of a bill as “cowardly.”
• charge that the President has been “intellectually dishonest.”
• refer to the President as “giving aid and comfort to the enemy.”
• refer to alleged “sexual misconduct on the President’s part.”

Seriously. You can't make this sht up. Unbelievable!

The end where the chair enforces based on his own initiative shouldn't apply to Pelosi. He's a she......:boxing_smiley: (Well maybe)
 
I wish they spent their (funded by us) time doing something meaningful and useful instead of this silly garbage! :mad:

At least I can still call them half-baked nitwits. :D

I wonder what "rule" allows the president to LIE? I mean since he has the backstop of not being able to call him on it...why not LIE.

I saw this a.m. that he (BarryO) said in of his campaign speeches yesterday that the cost of health insurance for an indiviual is 4x the cost of an employeer provided plan. Apparently a little fact checking thru the CBO doesn't support this LIE...opps I mean claim.
