Your boat may be better suited for class 6, 70mph up to 26'. Length is a huge factor in the ocean races. You can always step up to class 5 if neccessary or you gain more experience.

Bob is right;a 24FT Pantera is better suited for Class 6 in OPA.Class 6 is growing with a number of new teams coming out this season.Looking forward to seeing your Pantera on the race course..I have a 24FT Pantera pleasure boat28FT Pantera's are ideally suited for Class 5...and Simply Awesome,Goumada,Sonic Boom and Carabbas all had at least one win in OPA,SBI or APBA.

Update: Our new beast, 41' apache, is getting lifting straps made, name and number going to be installed shortly, few cosmetic changes, and 2 new "BIG" Rogers Speed Shop motors are on the engine stands getting ready soon for assembly and dyno
