Here are some cool pix of a whale shark my daughter saw on one her dives. Look at the last picture, it will give you some idea of how big this fish is.

I was messin' around with a snorkel down in key west two years ago when I was down at the worlds...just surfacing, grabbing some air and diving down...go a little further out then do it again. Well I dove down in about 12-15 ft of water and all of a sudden this sand shark (didn't know what it was at the time) appears directly below me. I'm not used to seeing that type of $hit nor was I expecting it. Basically I freaked out and went flapping uncontrollably back to shore where a couple on the beach were looking at me like I was on fire. LOL. The thing was probably only 3 1/2 to 4 ft long but boy oh boy did it catch me off guard!

Now, had I come across something that big I would have $hit my pants!

I know what you mean. We were off Little Cayman on the drop off to never never land, when a group of sharks came by right below us.

Another time we were off Bora Bora and feeding the sharks. A 8 to 9 footer within 2 feet grabbing fish the native dude is throwing in gets your attention too.

Man, if there's a better place to dive than Bora Bora, I don't know where it is... I love Tahiti.

I'd love to see a whale shark. That thing is awesome! I've been in the water with a lot of different shark species and man, you're daughter is a luck girl to get to see that! Love it!

Whats more fun feeling that gentle "nudge" against your side only to turn around and see that a bigger than you nurse shark wants your stringer of bleeding fish.

We did a shark dive in Yap a few years ago and had about 50 white and black tip reef sharks swimming all around us along with a 1/2 dozen or so green moreys feeding off a frozen chumsicle. My daughter was filming it from about 10 ft. away and one of the bigger more aggressive sharks turned into her and ran into the camera. Talking about giving you a scare, although they are not too dangerous to humans it still makes you nervous.
