We towed up on Saturday morning. Got a litle later start than planned, but got there plenty early to spend the day....

This was the first time out for the new engine and new drive. I'll probably do a different thread on that for input from you guys.

If you were there and about, this is what the Marlin looks like.

We launched at Oxbow. Only had about a 15 minute wait, barely enough time to get the stuff ready. I did have to park way out by the road coming in...

We headed out and since we had never been there before, headed up to see where the parks, launches, and other boats were.

Nice place, nice lake/pond, nice hardware....

I did go through a no wake about half-way before Terri figured it out. The sheriff came out and chatted with me, said we figured it out just in time.....

Found a group of boats almost to the freeway bridge.

We did go past the freeway bridge about 1/2 mile, but did not see another boat once past and figured there must be a reason, so we turned around....

Anyone familiar know how far you can go up?????

When we were coming back down to see where Dan, Ben, and group were at, Wicked Won pulled out of the park and headed down towards the main group. I chased them, but my almost 80 and their 100 plus was just a slight bit of a mismatch. Plus, in the rough stuff, we slowed......:sifone:

This guy buzzed us while we were drifting and eating lunch. I didn't know it but he has an aerial photo business called Grizzley Photo or close to that. I'll figure it out and chat with him....

We spent most of our sitting time up river at the sandbar. Usually both side of the river are lined with boats and somebody is making a good pass all day, didn't seem that way this year. I think sum of the guys went to the hot boat meet in Oscoda. I have never been pass the big bridge up there.

We did spot TwinWhackas and say hi. They were staying out of the raft up pile also....

Which one is the sandbar? Is that where those first pics are, or a different spot?

If it's where those first shots are, a big cat buzzed me while I was at no wake speed there later in the day.....

Yes the sandbar is along the river like the pic u have. Just south of that big bridge half mile or so...

I'll get some more up later, or tomorrow. Today is Terri's birthday so I've got to pay attention some. (Or else:smash:)
