I have been busy collecting parts since last year. I brought her home in March and have been steady taking her apart since. I hope to have her operational before summers end.

Basic highlights of project include new interior and paint. Delete of rail in tunnel entrance and transom. New SS rail on side. New Capilano 1275V helm and steering hoses. Relocate batteries, install new 14 pin harnesses and every other wire in boat. Powered by 300R's which I just got notified are being shipped.

Nothing loud or fancy, just Pure and Simple

I am Grateful to have purchased from a friend and be welcomed into the Skater brotherhood by its original owner at Fun Run. When recently asked about picking up the boat I responded, "Epic, great time with Skater Outboard purists, could see the boats from our room, nice run in Gulf, pic of boat on event shirt and Helo pix to boot." Made it home with out issue. Ran her at home lake once before selling off engines.

Progress is slow and steady. You must know the success is in the prep. I am just beginning to move in a positive direction. Spent a number of hours yesterday working on helm spacing. Changing from hynautic to capilano is not quick and easy. Shaft length and cut out in dash are different. Also there were 1 1/2 " spacers behind dash. The capilano has an adjustment knob that adds to the compexity of locating the wheel where it was previously.
I have shared a couple pix of the early steps n the process of rail delete. Remove rivots and silicone. Slow and steady. All rail and deck hardware is now off. Wrap is off. I'll be back out after breakfast.

I'll share more pix when there is something worthy of sharing. Battery relocation provisions come up next after helm gets worked thru.

Also been measuring for engine center and bracket change. Knee inside play a significant rule in placement. you can see part of the tape and markings.

I've been a painter helper for my buddy painting my boat. Its a tedious process prepping for paint. I always knew it was time consuming but, I didn't know what I didn't know. Its much more time consuming then I ever could have imagined. I have surrendered to my buddy David and his process. I am grateful he has offered and is painting my boat. My arms are putty and my entire body sore from the seemingly unending sanding.

I hope to soon begin to share progress pix that actually show progress. The job is in the prep. I've been working for 6 months prepping. I will be so happy when the spraying begins!
