PUI (Posting Under the Influence)

Yeah, he actually got ticketed for leaving his Jeep in a handicap spot with his dog in it and he did the PSA as part of his public penance. :D

somebody has to drive home,it's about time those dogs earned their keep !

Yeah, the Aussie Cattle dog actually gets pissed if his food dish or water dish goes empty - SS dish on Ceramic tile, he goes over and "bangs" the thing with his paw until you get off your azz to feed him, and he eats the good stuff - Iams in the green bag.

Our terrible mayor did a public service commercial telling people never to leave their dogs in the car. I was expecting them to start with babies. :)
The whole time I was in the bar, maybe 45 mins. I was waiting for someone to come in and ***** about "who left the dogs sitting in the truck to have a beer".
My dog's are like kids to me. they sleep in the bed, they eat from the same plate as me half the time... But, I think they can handle hanging out in the truck for 45 mins with the windows cracked at ~50 degrees outside temp.

Just this past summer we had two professional women in Cincinnati that left their infants in the back of the car for the entire day (forgot they were there), and the children died. The women were not convicted of any crime.
It's been a major topic for a while on news, and talk radio.
If you remember Scott Sloan from 1370, he's down here now on 700 WLW - love his show, used to play hockey with him.

We got yelled at for leaving Gilligan in the truck at Key Fisheries. Apparently they have a law against that in FL? it wasn't a hot enough day to really worry about it but the guy insisited we bring Gilligan in as the seating is all outside and "dog friendly"

That's a good thing...:)

Unless your dog like that that annoying kid that people pray that parents won't bring along... :(

He's slowing getting better but he loves everybody and yips and whines until they pay attention to him.

Same problem here. x2
I was worried they would tear up the truck, they are so used to being either home, or around us, and the wife's been away for over two weeks...
Gaitz is the HAM, but Dyce is the skittish one.
I was just looking for a way to kill an hour while they were showing the house - drinking a few beers sounded like a better option than driving around aimlessly.

now that we have come to an understanding (or your dogs drink too) we can get back to normally scheduled programming

And there's a reason you can't do both? Wait til you get that "AZ tint" on your truck. Coldies look like cokes... No problemo.

Not to be pedantic, but the thread is called "posting under the influence" not "posting drunk" critical distinction... I mean otherwise I couldn't come on here, ripped-to-the-tits on Nyquil and toss around words like "pedantic"!

:D

PIZZA! PIZZA!

an ideal wind is blowing through the keys,
the fridge is full
and the voices in my head lay silent

for now:reddevil:

I knew Sloanie. I was producing commercials for Clear Channel when he was on during the afternoon drive. :D
But I did it under the influence, at my studio.

Ok... I am too sober, gotta go.

There's a new word you should work on. Very fitting sometimes.
It would be someone who had given himself enough rope to hang himself. It hasn't been defined yet, perfect......

pendantic isn't defined yet, but these are close:

permalink:

1. pendant

Pendant, n.

One who, by correcting others, gives himself (or herself) just enough rope by which to hang.
Bill: "That bloke's a total pendant."

Ben: "I think you mean 'pedant,' mate."

Bill: "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

BTW, is this noose too tight?":rofl:
