PUI... ONLY!!! no sober posts allowed!!!!

As an impartial judge, I do believe that post was made under the influence of something. Definitely not sober......

Got my system in last night and awoke some neighbors. Lol. Sofa king funny. Tuning the amps tonight "again" after a dinner date with the wife. Contemplating more than the 1k amp wired at .5ohms for the two subs. Need to reach the 20hz range

Any thoughts?

Running 4 alpine 7s on mb quart 600x4
2 rockford 10 P3 on Sony 1000 class d @ .5 ohm

Yeah, you're gonna smoke your speakers.

P3's are 2 OHM capable at 500 watts RMS. You're running an amp that is rated at 500 watts RMS at 2 OHM, wired a .5 OHM would give it what, 2000 watts at the speakers? Although I think with only 2 speakers you are probably wired at 1 OHM, which is still 1000 watts at the speakers. Distortion has to skyrocket in that configuration too.

Buy a second AMP and run them at 1000 watts at 2 OHM on each sub. Sound cleaner and both should last.

You're bass is gonna make it so you can't hear your music and voice tracks...... Try a Pioneer GM-D8604......:)

I'm sober by the way. Who knows what I might say trashed. You'd have to figure out a way to put my Adcom's and Snell's in there.....

That's the only thing that would worry me about your setup. Most speakers are 4 to 8 OHM in the old days. Now some will go to 2 OHM, like my Snell's. But 1 OHM, I don't know. Once you get it going, you'll know if you have enough amp for the non-sub channels.

Changed up the wiring a bit and went to a 2 ohm load. Amp specs say it's stable to .5 ohm. Got it to kick off a few times so I guess I was asking too much. The alpine 7s sound great though

I wish SOS was what it used to be. We need more**** in the bashing thread. I miss the good ole dayss/ (insert picture of cying indian).
