Men like Larry Thorne is a quite normal Finnish stereotype. He also while drunk was violent...very much so in fact and got into problems because of it several times in his life.
Why is he a national hero then..because he´s easy to relate to.

Fact for one is those owning guns overhere do not look up on america ( do not flatter yourself) or american way of life but the Finnish way of life to have guns for hunting and nowadays also as a hobby.
You might find more interesting stuff about the issue from the Finnish NRA which a friend of mine is the vice president of.

It´s been known for hundreds of years that we are violent and Finnish men have been said to be only happy while being drunk or fighting or both... just like the Irish.

Easy to answer...both cases were guys who was outsiders and excelled in school but not in personal life and had been since day one in school been targets for bullies.
They copycatted the US School Massacres and patterned with that incident as close as possible.

Funny is back in the day I was in school we coulda gotten the same results. Talked with former schoolmates about it and wondered why it never happened when everybody knew what the big hit at the time I Don´t like Mondays of Boomtown Rats told about.

Guess we just sufficed in beating the crap out of each other...
