Nice to see,
I had not commented at all on their demise because of the respect I have for thier team. How's it go, "Our demise has been grossly overstated" or something like that?????
I've been a subscriber for dang near ever, and certainly enjoy the magazine and chatting with Bob and Jason. I hope everyone is glad to see one of our long term information groups still out there and looking forward to the future.
"Greetings to all,
I am pleased to confirm that PowerBoat Magazine is moving forward with an exciting future. We are working hard to enhance the publication to the highest level ever with the support of Bonnier. We feel that our readers will be pleased and there will be a greater opportunity for manufacturers and businesses to promote and advertise their products.
Best personal regards,
Bob Teague"

Bonnier to Relaunch Powerboat Magazine; Jason Johnson Rejoins as Editor
Winter Park, Fla. — Just a month after acquiring the rights to the Powerboat brand, Bonnier Corp. has announced it will relaunch the magazine this fall. Jason Johnson returns to head up the brand as editor alongside Bonnier group publisher Jamie Burris, who leads the sales team.
“The next chapter in Powerboat’s storied 40-plus-year history will be an especially exciting time with the Bonnier name behind the ‘World’s Leading Performance Boating Magazine,’” said Johnson, who has worked on Powerboat for the past six years. “We’ll still deliver the same trusted, informative and first-rate content expected in every issue of the magazine, and we’ll soon serve our dedicated audience with new digital offerings.”
Bonnier has been very aggressive in delivering content to the readers of all of the company’s brands. It has been lauded for work in new digital platforms, recently being named 2011 Publishing Innovator of the Year by Publishing Executive magazine.
“Readers can expect Powerboat to continue its legacy as the brand that performance boaters have trusted since 1968,” Johnson said. “With new technologies and the Bonnier approach, Powerboat will have even greater coverage of the action-packed, fast-paced boating lifestyle.”
“Powerboat will be the best resource and media partner for the performance-boat industry and other companies looking to reach the brand’s enthusiastic and affluent readership,” said Burris.
Current Powerboat subscribers will automatically receive the new relaunched magazine. For more on the print and digital advertising opportunities, clients can contact Burris at Jamie.Burris@bonniercorp.com, 407-571-4887.
