Anything's possible. Ask Fiat.
I can think of more reasons it might be expensive than cheap. Even though they aren't making cars with that badge, it's an active brand and they own the hell out of it. (Looking at the Pontiac brand alone, assuming the buyer doesn't want the old tools and dies. I am taking this as an interest in intellectual properties, not real estate.)
In the final analysis, I see them holding the brand if to just reduce unintentional co-branding of the larger GM house of brands with subsequent producers of some unknown Pontiac product.
What else you want to buy? I have tons of stuff for sale. Ever want to open a recording studio? I could have one on a truck to you by Tuesday. Letting go of a sweet white 560sl with both tops in incredible condition. For you? $11k. Most other people, $14k. Ohh... and a three bedroom craftsman in a scrappy working class Midwest neighborhood with a big garage. Make you a hell of a deal. Immediate possession. Beer stays in the fridge. I'll leave the lawn mower also.

It would certainly be an expensive acquisition.
Another big issue would be what is hidden in that phony GM bankruptcy. No one really knows for sure. Pontiac, Saturn, etc suppliers did not get paid, but Chevy, GMC, etc suppliers did get paid. Even though all of GM filed bankruptcy. We know that's illegal according to US bankruptcy law, but it happened anyway. So, what's hidden in there by the Feds????????

Which would be cheapest and easiest to acquire in terms of red tape:
1) The city of Pontiac, Michigan
2) Chief Pontiac, of the Ottawa Nation (or his corpse)
3) The Pontiac division of GM

Four or five of the mics and Mk1 monitors are the shizz. The ADAT will be junk to your engineer.

Taking out the ADAT, because the technology is so old, and taking out the racks because they would be hard to ship.
Throwing in a Behringer head phone distribution system (Powers 4 sets of headphones in the studio, each with own input, not including the control room), an Alesis MidiVerb 4 effects unit, a lighted rack mount power distribution unit, and a few assorted odds and ends like direct boxes, cables, etc.
I would take $3,900 for the entire room full of gear, plus shipping. Would consider delivery in the great lakes area. Could be picked up with a regular van or large car in Ohio. If someone was picking the gear up, I would throw in the racks. This number would be based on 80% of the gear being priced at current ebay rates and 20% being thrown in. It is important to note that the Mackie 824 monitors are very desirable. They are Mk1, meaning made in USA. The first generation monitors were really popular so Mackie had the Mk2 made in china and they suck. Nobody wants new Mackie 824s. Everybody wants Mk1 made in USA. They are self-powered, include subs, and are one of the most used monitors for mixing in the industry. Even if a studio has other monitors for mastering, they always have a pair of Mackie Mk1s.
