Phucking Thief

sorry to hear this, I guess on the bright side your computer is OK, how did they get in?
I am glad to hear the wife and baby are OK, sucks though to think someone was in your house going through your stuff.

computer was stolen. on my inlaws computer. they used a pry bar while someone else kiced the door in.

sorry to hear that ,,alarms to theifs are like a stopwatch to a runner,it lets them know how much time they have,,,,,A stealth camera is a contest with your personal belongings the prize,,,,bottom line bells and whistles don,t catch theifs, pictures DO..
PUT GOOD CCTV CAMERA SYSTEMS,,THEN BIG SIGNS SAYING SAYING SO.. good luck to all,,,,:USA:

Sorry to hear that Patrick. A few years back we woke up at 1AM with a guy crawling into our bedroom window. Fortunately he was caught and lucky he wasn't killed.

To this day it's sad to say, but we still live in fear of it when the windows are open. I couldn't walk into my home alone for 6+ months after that without being scared to death and checking every corner and closet. It's total violation of one's privacy, and I'm sorry you are all going through this. :(

What goes around, comes around, the robber(s) will get f*cked someday,

Then I'll be watching their homicide investigation where the detective promises that deadbeat's family, "I'll do everything I can to catch his killer."

When my apartment was cleaned out in college, I asked the investigating officer, "if I happened to sitting on the couch with aloaded shotgun when these punks kicked my door open and I unloaded a bunch of hot lead in them, what would you do. Cop said, if there are more bullets in the front than the back, we'll take care of the paperwork. You will have saved us from dealing with the guy many times in the future."

God, I love New Orleans police.

So sorry about the break in. Terrible feeling of vulnerability. Hope the family can regain their sense of safety soon.

The cops who investiaged our break-in said two things. One, make sure both feet are in the house. Two, dead men can't talk.

Don't despair. They'll certainly find the guy and deal with him.

I'd like to be there to see the horror on his face when he receives his suspended sentence and his 90 days of probation- for the 4th time this year.

When I was a kid and my father was stationed at Ft. Stewart Georgia (back when it was a bump in the middle of a huge swamp), I used to see the chain gangs working on the roads. It was a double-deterrent. The guys that were there knew they didn't want to ever end up there again, and the people driving by knew they never wanted to end up there in the first place. There's little deterrence in our present system.

"Serious" ?, do they do that anywhere anymore?????

That sucks. Alarms and camera both. Not all that expensive.

Surprised you would be having any issues with State Farm......

Not really. That sheriff in Arizona puts them in pink jumpsuits and makes them sleep in tents. That's probably the extreme.

I see the non-violent offenders doing roadside work, but that's voluntary- and like a benefit to them. They get out in the fresh air and do some light duty roadside trash pickup stuff.

Alabama tried it in the 90's but it didn't last long. Too many hassles from liberal court challenges.

True the response time to our house when the neighbor called was 30 mins.

You have any suggestions for a cam system that has wirless DVR?

Please don,t use any wireless ,when it comes to your family,,they ar affected by everything in your house,,ie microwave,,cell,,portable phone,,any of the housees remotes, ect,,,then the time toreset,,,HARD WIRE ,,a stealth system sounds like you want to play the game,,isn,t the goal to keep them out,,,hard wire in a 4 or 8 camera system ,,,one outside so everyone who enters your property is already photographed,,,then big signs saying this property is under 24 hr surveillance,,,,theifs will look elseware before yours knowing ,,their pic is already taken,,simple ,,i,v been installing these for some time now, trust me they work,,let me know if i can help ,,
