Paterno... Really?

I couldn't care less about sports or college football, but I have always been impressed that Joe Paterno was able to stay so clean in what underneath the shiny surface is a pretty dirty business. But this disgusts me.

I was reading last night the description of the event by the assitant coach McQueary. He said he came back to the locker room after hours and was surprised to see lights on. Then he heard noises coming from the shower. In his grand jury testimony, he told them he heard groaning noises and a repeated slapping sound. When he looked in the shower, he saw a naked boy bent forward with his hands against the wall and this Sandusky charachter behind him, pounding him in the ass from behind.

So McQueary calls Paterno THE NEXT DAY to tell him about it. I have to ask- why didn't he rush in and tackle this SOB and put it to an end? It wasn't like he surprised the quatrerback popping a cheerleader. There's no way this could have been mistaken for any sort of a consensual encounter. As far as I'm concerned the assistant should be charged as well. Watching a child being raped and walking away? And Paterno? Like they say, all you have to do is put one dick in your mouth and you're a cocksucker for the rest of your life. This one is Joe's.

Definitely screwed the pooch......and some kids on that, and other events of the same nature.

The most interesting thing to me;

It was a two year investigation, into an incident that happened years before that, and was released shortly after he set the all time records for wins....

Are our institutions that screwed up?

At this time, from every thing I've read and watched, JoPa should also be on trial for aiding and abetting....

And I really liked the guy

Not really...
I think more than a dozen folks really ought to be jailed for what the news has stated so far.
Aiding and abetting, covering up, lying...just sad that some are getting charged others not.
I think anyone that knew or was told and did nothing are GUILTY themselves ! ! !
That is a law, if you know and do not tell authorities, REAL ones, not BS campus police; the YOU are guilty of a crime and need to be charged! Losing your job is not a criminal sentence from the courts.

I agree with you on this......

Now there are three investigations, with a possible fourth by the feds because he may have crossed state lines with minors as company??????:mad:
