Pantera 24 transom replacement

Shot a coat of primer on there to see if I could see any imperfections, looked pretty good, so I shot a black guidecoat on, and will sand again this weekend.

Actually took that pic. to see how straight it was, you can see the side of the boat, and the flatness of the transom, kinda:sifone:

Now the real work begins, got a little more work to do on the knees/stringers, then the deck reconfiguration begins:willy_nilly:

Some of this is a learning experience for me, I have done plenty of small glass repairs in the past, but never anything this big.

Back at it, the last few weekends have been rainy down here, so havent gotten much done, but did manage to get a few coats of gel on the outside, and cut and bonded in the 3rd. knee, and doubled up the stringers with 3/4. I still need to glass the knee and stringers in, but ran out of good weather, and glass on Sunday, gotta make a trip to Hollywood this week to get more.

Looking Good. That transom is going to be rock solid, even without the rear deck in place. You were looking to do a re-configuration of the rear deck and splashwell. I vote to paint that rear bilge area swimming pool blue and turn it into a jacuzzi with beer cooler. Great work Rick.

A lot of work, but looking great! I'm sure you'll be happy when she's back on the water, and you don't have that to worry about.
