FLORIDA WOMAN DETAINED AFTER ATTEMPTING TO SELL "HOMEMADE WINE" OUT OF A COOLER AT A CHILDREN'S SOCCER GAME
TAMPA, FL — Jessica Holloway, 34, was detained Saturday morning at the Carrollwood Recreation Park after allegedly setting up a folding table on the sidelines of a U-8 girls' soccer game and selling "homemade wine" out of an Igloo cooler to other parents.
According to the police report, Holloway arrived at the field at 8:47 a.m. wearing a wide-brim straw hat, a "WINE MOM ERA" tank top, and matching white linen pants. She allegedly unfolded a 4-foot Costco table near the snack tent and laid out 14 mason jars labeled in cursive Sharpie.
Investigators say the menu offered the following:
- "Carrollwood Red" at $8 a jar
- "Soccer Mom Sangria" at $10 a jar
- "Divorce Rosé" at $12 a jar
- A signature blend titled "REFEREE TEARS" at $15
- A free pour for any mom whose daughter was benched
According to the arrest report, Holloway had set up a Square reader, a small chalkboard sign that read "BUY 3 GET A SECRET," and a Bluetooth speaker playing the Real Housewives of Orange County theme song on loop.
Officer Camille Devereaux told reporters, "She was extremely organized. She had a punch card. She had business cards that said 'Holloway Vineyards — established last Tuesday.' She told us, and I quote, 'I crushed these grapes with my bare feet on a yoga mat. This is artisanal.'"
The operation was reported by another mother whose 7-year-old daughter asked, "Mommy why does Brielle's mom have a wine bar at the field."
When questioned by deputies, Holloway reportedly said, "I'm not selling. I'm sharing. The cash is for vibes."
She was escorted off the field still holding a jar labeled "HALFTIME HARMONY" and a clipboard with a waitlist of 9 names.
Holloway faces charges of unlicensed alcohol sales and operating a vendor stand without a permit on public youth athletic property.
The Carrollwood Soccer Association confirmed her daughter's team won 4-1.
The cooler declined to comment.
