That's kind of scary to think of the damage that could have happened. I wonder if the crystals and light catchers referenced by madpoodle could actually do the same thing. Lots of those around.

My neighbor lady took here hot ashes from her fireplace last weekend, put them in a bucket, sat in garage (too close to wall), and headed to the grocery store. Few hours later there were LOTS of firetrucks next door
