Merola's owned that boat forever. As I understand it, it's this boat. Which is how it looked when I worked at Hutinson's across the bay from Aquamania in 1988.

I've always been very fond of the boat as well and it's the reason I own a Pantera (or two) now.

Welcome aboard BHJ !!!

I have always loved that shot storm posted from the Pantera website.. I actually tracked your number down like an FBI spider monkey a few years ago so if you are wondering who the random call & msg. was from asking if the boat was forsale I will fess up, It was me... ;)

That's funny.....I don't remember that call. Have to ask the wife....she may have screened it from me!

Stormrider, I've always gotten a kick out of the twin vs. single debate. I'd love to drive a single 28 for comparison. We love the ride of our twin big blocks, and think she scoots across the water pretty good :driving:

Its destoney(sp) with me and yellow boat.

Pantera

The killer bee was an awesome ride it was being built at Pantera when I had my 28 Pantera redone by Pepe.
I heard that unfortunately it eventually sunk at a dock....rumor or fact not a 100% sure. But it was sweet, I agree Daredevil about the name.

Here is a pic of the "Bee" and my baby next to it while in progress and then after it was completed after the redo. Damn I miss her.

I'd heard the same story. I remember seeing Bee at auction a year or two ago. But also heard it was bought and re-rigged and is running again. Don't know if that's accurate, but that's what I heard.

Your 28 is on of my very favorites (colors and how it was rigged).

Thanks Sean, with the small blocks it was a VERY well balanced ride to say the least.
