"Official" NFL Smack Talkin' Thread

At this point, it doesn't really matter whether these bitches stay on their knees or show some respect. Who cares.

Me. Until they fix the issue, I will not watch. It makes no difference at this point if the TV Networks try to cover it up by not showing the National Anthem. In my mind, ignoring the disrespect of the players, and coaches who participated, makes them complicite. They should show the flag and singers. Instead, for what they thought was more drama and therefore would elicit more viewers, they showed those who should move to some other country where they could feel proud.

Now that it did exactly the opposite, they no longer show the anthem. Unpatriotic scum!!

I used to think there was nothing we could do about the screwed up world we live in where it is not cost effective to become a doctor but we pay athletes millions of dollars to glamourize ghetto culture. Now I think there IS something we can do.

We, the fans, are the source of the money. I enjoy watching the NFL become unfunded much more than I ever enjoyed the game, I guess.

Let's do basketball next. LeBron can get a summer job.

Hopefully everyone can keep it up until they enforce their rules and start fining teams and taking away draft picks!!

It's impossible to ignore the timing of sagging TV numbers — starting with the 2016 season in which Colin Kaepernick started kneeling during the national anthem. Take Monday Night Football as the latest example.

Yes, stats about cable cutting are true and sports ratings news is seldom good these days, but this one is kind of eye-popping. According to Sports Media Watch, the Monday Night Football broadcast of Colts-Titans had a 5.2 rating and 8.38 million viewers.

It was down a small fraction from last year's Jets-Cardinals game (5.2, 8.4 million) in week 6 but down 40 percent from the 2015 week 6 MNF game of Giants-Eagles (8.7, 13.9 million).

And it gets worse. Tennessee's win was the third-smallest Monday Night Football audience ever, ahead of two games last year: Falcons-Saints (which aired opposite a Trump-Clinton debate) got 8 million viewers and Colts-Jets in week 13 last year had 8.1 million watching.

There are a lot of factors that play into the declining number of viewers, but anyone downplaying the backlash to the protests during the anthem would have a hard time explaining the timing. The three lower Monday Night Football audiences ever are since Kaepernick bent the knee, and the comparison game from before protests had 40 percent more viewers. The only Monday Night Football game to have a rating that low before the protests came in 2007 when the Broncos and Chargers drew a 5.1 share. They played that game on Monday, Dec. 24 — aka Christmas Eve.

Apparently...There's going to be a big walkout tomorrow ...over the "Inmates running the asylum" quote by one of the owners

F U C K I N G idiots ...I'll be at work all day if anyone needs Me tomorrow

I have an attached shed behind my garage, 5x16 cinder block, under the main house roof. The old guy who build the house put shallow wood shelves on the tall side of the shed lined up with the door. Dumb. But he was tiny. Instead of watching grown men throw a ball around for millions of dollars, I unstuffed years of crap from the shed (anyone want a free exhaust system) and cleaned it out to the walls, demo'd the wood shelves and washed it all down inside.

Next it will get three normal sized shelf units on the shorter wall side, a wide shelf unit on the back wall across the 5 foot width, and a 6'x 15' slat wall for hanging tools.

It is directly off of my garage and will add about 80 ft of running shelf space to the house, which is where most of the crap that doesn't need to be in the garage, and a lot of my tools will go. I don't have a basement, so this is a big deal for me.

First time since the house was built in 1951 that this space has been emptied out and redone. I want to thank Colin Kaepernick from the bottom of my heart for bringing attention to the pro football player entitled hypocrite thing, because I may never have started this project.

It is amazing how much more I get done on Sunday's now.

This may last even if they do start honoring our country and veterans again.......

I primed the inside of the shed last night. Apparently, also, football was on TV. I have no idea who won.

I don't give a phuck, either.

Finished the shed and the garage. Wide open spaces now. Can bring the convertible home from the neighbor's garage this week.

There was football? Oh.

It was a bit tough not to watch on Thanksgiving, but the in-laws agreed with us so it did not get turned on.

A friend told me yesterday the Lions lost.
